We have a tie, The Straight Nicks and The Gorgeous Lobs ended up with 151 points each and will battle next Monday night for the Session Three bragging rights. The Sweet Drops finished third with 143 points followed by The Attacking Volleys with 134 points; The Punishing Drives next with 127 points and The Working Boasts were last and least with 118 points. We have decided that all matches next Monday will be the best two of three; this will allow players from all teams to stick around for the social, food and prizes without taking up the whole evening. If you have not squared up with Cam with league fees please do so next week. All players currently participating in the league will be included in the next league unless you indicate to John that you will not be playing. All players who have won their divisions will be expected to move up to the next level and all players who finished last in their divisions will move down a level for the next league. Good luck to Ken Hopkins as he moves back to “The Rock”, the Monday Night League, as well as the whole squash community on PEI will miss you Ken! Good luck to all who are playing this coming weekend in the Crazy Eights Tournament, great format and should be lots of fun! Until next week, get to the T, the walls are your friends and enjoy your trip Shawn!!!!!

The Straight Nicks (119 pts.) , The Gorgeous Lobs (118 pts.) and The Sweet Drops (118 pts) are all in a dog fight for the top two spots in the Monday Night League. The Nicks picked up wins from John Power, Gary Roberts, Kenny Power, Quincy Beck and a great come-back win from Harvey Chandler to claim top spot in week four. Harvey was down 2-0 to Stephen Phillips before the CWOV put into gear and pulled out the win. Wade Gauthier and Ed MacDonald also battled for five games before Wade won 14-12 in the fifth. Ken Sampson and Jonathan O’Keefe played a great match in “EdWay” and Ken prevailed in five. See what I mean about the distraction Juice! Once again Benoit (money in the bank) Sampson picked up a win for his team over Mill River Ladies B winner Emma Jinks. Jill Taylor picked up a win in five hard fought games over Kelly MacWilliams John and I would like to thank all players for being patient with court 2, hopefully by next week!!!!! Anyone who has not squared up with Cam Beck should do so before this league session is over, only one week left to go. Until next week, get to the T, the walls are your friends and congratulations to Scott Hamill for capturing the Geezer Goblet , well done Scott.

We were really pressed for time to complete all matches before 9:30 so it was great that players played in the court with no door. That’s your cue Jeremy and Steve to come up with a tune for the Mill River Social about court 2. The Sweet Drops (90 points) moved from last to second place with wins coming from Lester Jinks, Jonathan O’Keefe, Connor Jinks, Ryann Jinks, Jeremy Stiles, Jordan Chandler, Jane Hicks and Emma Jinks. Their total of 44 points is a new record for the league. Give credit when it is due, Jonathan O’keefe was all and more then this CWOV could handle, however, I have to say that I was somewhat distracted by the refracted light coming from a spot on the back of Juice’s head, hmmm what could that be? The Gorgeous Lobs (91 points) remain in first place with wins from Ken, Jordan, Benoit (money in the bank) Sampson and Ken Hopkins. The Straight Nicks are a close third with 89 points, the Nicks picked up wins from Gary and Inez Roberts, Seanna Evans-Renaud and Cam (The Barbarian) Beck. Cam showed his warm, caring and fuzzy side last night when he cracked Paul Norris with his raquet , Cam immediately checked his raquet , class act Beck!
